Biotin insufficiency in cats shows as follows:
- Dried amounts of secretion around mouth, nose and eyes
- Hair loss first on the extremities, then slowly over the entire body
- Hair loss in the face results in the phenomenon of the so-called "spactacle-eyes"
- Pigment loss and dandruff appear
